Taking in The one-time verse Somewhere from These long lost words Chords that I can barely strum Haunt me like I'm scarcely trying What was worth remembering Happened long ago Some of us were older then Seemed to have lived lives before us Was not me, but could I see Something going on Stairs and Halls Impressions then, I still hold now Make me carry burnt-out torches All the things that seemed to be Precious to our minds To watch them go out one-by-one Eaten up by callous forces Unforeseen, well-hidden greed Takes it all away Houses rise Mountain heights To the hills And if one of us falls Find wings? The most restless of us Will sing? The "purest" of us Will achieve? We take to flight Set your sights! One treetop to the next To lookouts and the distant peaks In minutes and with ease All is home And what should we become Things you could only dream before To survey what you've done To Bremen Town I know the paths up to the day And when the spiral stairs gave way To safer grass on smoother trails We'll reach the lands above the rails Each island world is of its own By land or sail or walk alone To find the level to look far To rest or seek a brighter star Fools that gather round From all sides they stay Tear the Earth aloud Bring the staff right down Turn the page away Let forests remain Faces that I've known have been right To question The ending You will make Steep incline Into the mist Down to the first Of many waters Walk along In memory We have been here before The song I wrote The day had passed Not far away In basement houses Joins our march For company In the valley full of trees We were fire then Much less so now Separate to the edge of branches Perching on The top of one Eagle candle glows And what was told From warmer nights And filaments were incandescent Took us to A place where we Could witness anything Benches and The streets and parks Will hold your name In high regard Eyes of birds And storied words Help us where we stand But of all These things to hold There are some That seem much closer Especially The oldest trees Will never quite be gone

I can see life and water winking To the side Straight ahead lies a route to take me away Thought that I told you all about it Did I say Or was it yesterday How can it be now I'm forgetting Or am I letting Everything is sliding All the roads converging Only the beginning If we start to run Sitting alone atop the hillside You are Looking out to the changing fields and The skies How many years has it been since then We felt complete In everything And yet the harvest and the beauty Why are you complaining Too much time for thinking One day you might be missing A memory of the land We're here Watch us Open More than you've ever seen Flowers Stars above Only aligns for now Picture Capture One time Briefly appears before us Turning Home now Bring what you can All steps reverse What will I hear What story plays And who is there to welcome you Familiar shores and evening skies The time has come to Let it all go The time has come to let it go Let it all go The time has come to Let it all go The time has come to Let it all go To head for home

Hold your hair back So you can see all around the old room Closing your book You begin to scrawl out your own Rise tomorrow Spin around, all around you Moon to follow Hiding in clouds, then found too Capture sorrow In the walls that surround rooms Beg or borrow Giving all that you hold dear Clear view night As the patrons did stumble inside And countryfolk all around Would begin their ritual rites Rise tomorrow Dance around, all around you Moon to follow Living in clouds, then found too Capture sorrow On the walls that surround rooms Beg or borrow Loving all that you hold dear Tour or stay As the great oak points multiple ways And if there were more of you Would they hold hands across The whole world Free the swallow Fly around, all around you Men are hollow Whisper in shrouds, then found too Flee the shadow Build the walls that surround you Rise tomorrow Sing around, all around you Moon to follow Breathing in clouds, then found too Capture sorrow For the walls that surround you She took her walk Along the shore Dreaming of the wood Solace to be found And by the river And by the falls Finding peace in her mind Time and learn We are all from the land of Herne Though our thread may not demand We will choose significance Rise tomorrow Flirt around, all around you Moon to follow Drifting in clouds, then found too Capture sorrow Words on walls that surround rooms Beg or borrow Losing all that you hold dear In all the dark places we will shine Like fireflies, a light all of our own (Moon to follow) Behold the dark places we will shine We're fireflies; a light all of our own Moon to follow Moon to follow
