New Universe 05:45
we have been launched we have been set free it's the hands of our fathers we now leave and in our time seconds are as weeks and so we fly very slowly like air mail and our engines there are twenty-four of them as we sit on the lower wings they cry above and our propellers turn very slowly but unlike before they will last forever over the bed and out through the door we have successfully navigated astounded eyes go opening after us as we fly into a new universe

little girl stepped on a flower little girl cried for hours empty hall never a soul to see little light little air to breathe wheels turn air is cruel outside something is lying by the road further out nothing for miles and miles stare ahead ignore what is behind little girl stayed at home that night weather change close the windows tight empty hall howls of mystic wolves a million tears are begging to find rest wheels spin patterns are raging solemn cage no longer ties them what is more the course will be plain to see in the morn they cry for hours and hours little girl stepped on a flower little girl cried for hours empty hall never a soul to see little light little air to breathe

there is a place where he can hide and collect the pretty things that are around him if he can find them oh no, he's not what you think while away the time doing nothing he's got plans and means to keep them halfway through a time that no-one's counting so he might ask you where you're going have you seen anything that you could give to him he would be happy and if he feels so inclined he might stop a while and try to understand there is a book that he might try to read look at the pictures well aren't they pretty things if you believe in them oh no, they're throwing thunderbolts scarring the land - churning up the sea if only i could have one all for me all for me

Firefly 04:55
what are these wide open spaces is there a centre for us to make for have they forgotten to tell us how to measure our own needs in this crowd huddled in their circles some are large and some are small and most are not sure at all passing secrets have won their place in time the low and darkest sun no one will find what are these clouds that form blocking the moonlight straining our eyes just the fireflies wink at themselves wonder if they are saying the same things as i huddled with company that shivers as night is free from obvious boundary passing secrets have won their place in time the low and darkest sun no one will find she'd love us if we could ever be found through whispered fields undone everywhere sound

i woke in a cold sweat and looked outside i saw strange eyes upon me and scream i tried maybe it's all in my mind don't lie awake in the dark don't lie awake i saw daggers concealed behind your smile i sensed a change in the balance of heart felt life don't lie awake in the dark don't lie awake you said i worry too much and i know that's true it was the last time i heard it coming from you don't lie awake in the dark don't lie awake

No Easy Path 07:05
one day was a plateau of pleasant grass the next it seemed impossible to pass hand in hand along a string bridge we move to see the sights the never ending view while planks of wood are splitting underneath one joy gives a feeling of wanting more and then a crash and it's easier to fall when cries of help are no more than a whisper to cling to love is all you can hope for here alone the darkness can only win cling to love it's all you can hope for here alone the darkness can only win

Into Night 11:07
into night the summer bird flies oh and the leaves are sure to follow sapling sighs up to the weeping willow rabbit cries he's never where he wants to be and time's running fast no good to be last no time to sit back and think i didn't mind to be the sunshine oh let me lay upon my pillow all a dream it's getting colder when you fall asleep you're there a little longer now sapling with one eye raised up to the sky waits for falling glimpse of white she built a castle on the side of yonder mountain upon a ledge to see the sleeping light of eden they flew to her balcony higher than the trees to ask the question where to flee the frozen breeze (credo) i don't mind the sleeping sunshine i don't mind my shadow free of all the years in my mind welcome all that follows

The Pond 06:13
i'm standing i'm bathed in rays of the warmth that had gone away you're missing all those years of progress with some tears and i hear an engine in the sky you're wondering what have i brought to this open grave what weighs me down i'm feeling just like a boat swamped by tidal waves but i won't drown and i have a stone here in my hand sometimes some help from on that knows a way is all we need to find ourselves we need a place to really live and to die i watch the sun go down with no fear of losing hope but only for a while we're still searching on i'm sorry i didn't know the paths we took would lead us here our laughter and our tears are nothing now we've bigger fears we're searching for home searching for...
